How Do I Get Started I Dont Have A Website

One of the most common questions that I get asked from people when contemplating starting an online business is how do I get started if I don?t have a website and don?t know how to create one.
This can seem like a real show-stopper and is the reason why so many people quit right there? and this is a great shame. To be so close to getting started only to give up because of what seems to be an insurmountable obstacle.
Now, there are products around today that will create a website for you or you could get one created very cheaply today but let?s leave those aside for the moment. I?ll cover those another time.
What I want to talk about today is getting started selling online without a website. By far the easiest way to sell online without any products of your own or a website of your own is by means of what is known as an affiliate program.
Basically you sell someone else?s product for a commission. In actual fact you may not even be selling a product because there are several different types of affiliate program. The different types of affiliate programs are;
Pay-per-sale - where you get paid a commission on product sales,
Pay-per-lead - where you get paid for every lead that you send to the merchants site,
Pay-per-referral - which is much the same as pay-per-lead,
Pay-per-click - where you get paid for everyone that clicks a link.
The best known Pay-per-click affiliate program is Google Adsense but there are many others including Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN. However, you need a website for all of these programs so we will not consider them here.
The easiest to get started with is the pay-per-sale type of affiliate program. With these you simply send visitors to a merchants website and if the visitor buys you get paid a commission.
The next question is always, ?OK so how do I send visitors to the merchants site??
There are many ways to drive traffic to the merchants site which do not necessarily have to cost a lot of money and some ways are free. In my opinion the most effective way is use what is known as article marketing.
Either write a short article, get one written for you or search on the internet for an article related to the merchants product that you are going to promote and post it on the many article sites around the internet. Just do a search for article sites on Google and you will get quite a list of suitable sites. One that I have used very successfully is www.ezinearticles.com
There are full instructions on how to enter your article on the article sites but the key to success with this is to ensure that you have your affiliate link in the resource box provided. This will point people who read your article to the merchants site.One of the major benefits of article marketing is that it is ?viral?. In other words your article gets passed around from one source to another and in no time your article could feature on hundreds of websites, all linking to the merchant with your affiliate link.
There are other methods for driving traffic to the merchant but in my opinion articles are the most productive. Hopefully, if you have been holding back getting started because you don?t have a website, you now see that getting started without a website is not the obstacle that you might have considered it to be and will take action to get going now.
