Internet Marketing Misconception Are You Wasting Time And Money Concentrating On The Wrong Things
By: Alan Quan
Are you worried that if you will fail if you don?t have a PhD in computer science? The major concern of most people starting an internet marketing business is that they don?t have the skills of programming, setting up websites and all that technological complexities.
It may be discouraging if you have very little computer skills and if you believe that in order to succeed in internet marketing you need to be a computer science graduate. But have faith my friend, it is the internet marketers that make the most money NOT the nerdy Caltech internet techies!
Sure they know all the algorithms and theories of how computer software works, but that?s all they know?algorithms and theories. Being an internet marketer, we borrow their talented knowledge and turn them into profits!
It?s kind of like your job, who makes the most money in the company? I know for sure that a computer technician?s income isn?t as high as the CEO of the company they work for.
You see, internet marketing is YOUR business. The techie sure knows much more about computers than you as the CEO of your company, but it is the CEO that has the big picture and leads these techies to finish projects that increase the company?s bottom line!
The difference here, in very simple terms, is that the CEO brings out the finished product to as much people as possible while the techie brings out his service only within the company. The CEO serves to the public masses of people while the techie serves only his office manager (you).
Sure the CEO needs to know some technicalities, but usually they aren?t buried in the minute details! In any business, the more people you serve the more money you get.
That?s why if you market to a group of people you?ll serve more people and make more money than the techie who is wrapped up into programming his software or webpage serving only one person, his boss.
Sure the techie will marvel and be amazed at his finished project, and he will get a pat on the back from his boss (you), but usually the rights of the finished software package or website will belong to the CEO (you).
There are many successful internet marketers out there that knows squat about web page development, software programming, and all that high tech garbage. The most important thing for you to remember is that you should concentrate your efforts on the things that produce the most results (internet marketing) and outsource the technical knowledge to the techies.
I hope now you understand the big picture of internet marketing. If you started of thinking that your internet business involves you running around doing all the programming, you need to start destroy that misconception of internet marketing to the real money making activity of your business ? exposing your business and serving as much people as possible with your products!
